Relazioni con il pubblico		Many changes have taken place in the economic structure of Bra during the last century. Because of its central position between the hills of the Langhe and Roero and the fertile plains of Cuneo , Bra has always been an important centre of barter and commerce. From the earliest times there has been a rich variety of food, wines and cheese from the alpine pastures. By the beginning of the Nineteenth Century, Bra was already an important centre of agricolture (agricolture, just in Italian language) based on the vital cultivation and selling of vegetables. During the last century the progressive industrialisation of the whole of Piedmont led to the installation of several factories mostly concerned with leather productions. In the Fifties the economic boom brought a new twist to the economic structure. Heavy industry was steadily taking over and the industries of Bra changed their production towards activities tied to working in plastic and heavy engineering (industry, just in Italian language). Industry is now changing again and the Bra of 2000 had an altogether different face (craftmanship , just in Italian language). The fortunate relationship between commerce and tourism which has involved Southern Piedmont since 1990 has led the economy of Bra to change direction again and basing itself on a tertiary advance which links today's needs with the traditional values of Bra (commerce, just in Italian language). Today Bra is the seat of important Trade Fairs and displays by prominent national and international associations, a form of business that returns to benefit from the excellent wine and food of the region (tourism, just in Italian language).
